I had to take the CRD into the dealership on Monday for some minor warranty items, thinking that the F37 recall would be done at the same time. Nope - no recalls listed. Same with the DC web site using my VIN. I even printed out the F37 notice using a link on the forum here, showing the manufacture dates covering basically all CRDs, only to be told that since the vehicle wasn't showing any non-completed recalls they wouldn't do it. I read elsewhere on this forum that the late model 06's already had the new ball joints, so no surprises there, but wondering if anyone else is getting the 'No Recalls Listed' for F37? Maybe I'm wrong, but shouldn't this apply to ALL CRDs???

Me too. No recall here. Apparently the factory assembled my CRD with F37 crippling features.

It does make me wonder why it took so long for DC to come up with this "customer satisfaction" fix for the public when they had already been implementing it some six months or so earlier at the factory (if this is what was really going on.)

My understanding is that all CRD's will get the F37 eventually. I've heard several differant opinions on what the selection (timing) procedure is but we will all get the notificion. My dealer is aware of the F37 and told me just to hang on and let others get praticed on. He also said that if I want it done....no problem they would be happy to schedule it.

My January 06 mfg date is not on it also. I don't think that it will be eather because some made after mine have been recalled. Also at least one dealer tech on here has said when DC announces a recall they are all listed at once  Plus there's supposably a "clean" date of sometime in November 05 but then why some made after later in the model year get it :?: :?: Also the F37 mentioned 11,000 some units and I think I've seen the total US models as being aound 14,000. Mine does rev to about 3k rpms when doing mild acceration so it came detuned

My dad took his CRD to the dealer on Monday-- only to be told that his (Feb 06 build date) VIN had an updated torque converter and wasn't covered under the recall. They did give him the F37 software and his comment is that the Liberty seems a bit smoother than before -- he didn't go into specifics such as shift points.

Still waiting for my recall notice. According to my VIN I need the recall, but the lame dealership here won't do it until the recall is issued. Odd though because I never got a recall notice for the ball joint issue but they were more then happy to do that recall.

I talked with the dealer again today on a differant subject (window regulators) and asked about the F37 and the fact that I haven't recieved any notice. They told me I will get a notice but in the meantime, if I wish to have it done they will take care of the paperwork.

I said thanks but not right now.
