I don't know if this helps any, but I picked this up on another board:

Take 2" dia x6" long PCV and cap one end (use strong glue)
Take another cap - install 1 standard valve stem
Toss in all TPM sensors
Cap open end
Pressureize tube to 32PSI or what ever the factory specs are... and Valah! no more indicator light... 8)

Thats an interesting idea, so you just carry it along with you then. Might be hard to explain what it is if you got pulled over.
PVC schedule 40 would take 35 psi easy but if it were to break you would have shards of plastic projectile.
If you used metal it might look like a pipe bomb

I think that is why the guys are using the PCV... They just make the container and toss it in their spare tire well. Of course we don't have that option, but I am sure you could find a place to stick in (say under some plastic in the cargo area?)

I use 100psi in my potato gun all the time. Its just sch 40 pvc pipe.

You can put that sensors in yourself. I just jack up the front of my jeep, slide the side of the tire that I want to break the bead on under the tire on the jeep, then let the jeep down. Works everytime. You can then cut the old valve stem out, and slide the new sensor in.

My sensors were always very accurate. My digital gauge would always read the same as my evic did. 8)

It's not a bad idea at all.

I'm thinking get a 6" length of 2" blackpipe, cap both end, tap a 1/4" hole for a little ball-valve and male air QD. Throw the sensor in, set the psi, fogedaboudit

I got my replacement sensor for the spare today. I had it installed and more weirdness...

Instead of the "Service Tire Pressure System" error Followed by "Spare Tire Low", I now just get the tire pressure system error without the spare low part.

Can anyone think of anything that would cause an '02 EVIC to report the tire system error when all 5 sensor are installed and working?

***EDIT***

I just read that the spare only broadcasts once an hour. It might just not have hit the 1 hour mark yet. I'll wait until I'm on the way home tonight to see what happens.

yup. I'll check it after driving a bit. My sources say the sensors send a singal every 1 minute if going over 25 mph, but the spare only sends 1 per hour. so I think I just hadn't given it enough time.
