Glancing through the magazine and came across the "50 years of Jeeping with the Chuckwalla Jeep Club". They say a picture is worth a thousand words and they are right in this article. Everyone now thinks they have to have the biggest lift, biggest tires, etc etc but looking at this bunch, where they wheeled at and how they did it is remarkable. I want to be right there with them with my "cowboy" hat on

Whitewall tires, 5 or maybe 6 inch rims, ropes and chains, whatever they had they went out and had FUN. Not knocking what we have today and how far we have come with 4WDs.
I think a lot of the FUN has went out of the sport of getting out and enjoying a day with friends and seeing what your Jeep (or whatever you drive) can do. If it doesnt make it, pull, push, drag it on down the trail and keep going.
It was just a great article and reminds me of the way I started out some 35 years ago. Sorry to go on but I thank the magazine for putting such a great article in there to remind us all how this JEEP disease started!
