I seem to be ripping off the back fenders off of my jeep with my tires when I go wheelin'. I allready removed my front fenders. Does anyone know if there are any replacement fenders that are metal and maybe not quite so high profile. I really like the tires and don't want to get smaller ones.

Have you trimmed your guards ?

Have you added bumpstops ?

Have you lifted it to the correct height ?

Are you running offset ?

Cmon man, a little more info = alot better answers.

I don't know of any aftermarket fender flares for the KJ. There was once rumor that Bushwacker was looking at adding some for the KJ but I am sure that like most companies they dropped the idea of making KJ parts. Let us know some more info and maybe we can help you fix the problem.

Since those are only 30.5" tires, my guess is that you haven't lifted yet. Get yourself a Rusty's coil lift or a Daystar/RevTek spacer lift. If you can't afford that, do a front clevis lift and put some extra isolators in the rear. Due to the width, you may need some spidertrax spacers or trimming, but you need to start with some type of lift first - IMHO.

His sig. shows that he's running them on 15's(making moose' calculations correct)... BFG doesn't show that tire though... hmm

Do 15" rims fit on a KJ? I thought 16" was the smallest you could go?

with 265/75/16 with the finder liner out and new bumper stops
I still have some scrape at full stuff .
Do you have any wheel spacers 1.5' is ok but 2" will make it sound like you are tearing them off

I assumed it was a typo in his signature, since they don't make a 265/75R15...

I currently have a rockfather 2 lift and they are 31.6 inches i believe. They are running on 16 inch rims that was justa typo. I don't have non stock bumpstocks. Wouldn't that just cut down the articulation of the suspension. I have removed the front fenders. And the rear flares are kinda of removing them selves. I might just make myself a custom fender this summer.

"I don't have non stock bumpstocks. Wouldn't that just cut down the articulation of the suspension."

Articulation vs bumpstops

Well yes and no, you to use the proper amount of bumpstops to limit the amount to wheel travel before you either jam the tires into the body which can cause a stop to foward movement or cause damage to the body or tires. Down travel is what you want, keeping the tires on the ground for traction. Yes I know it's not as impressive to all the bystanders if your not stuffing the tires deep into the fenders..... but its about getting there in one piece and not the freak side show

Yeah i'm curious too - do you mean the entire metal fender including the plastic FLARE or (surely) you are referring to the plastic flare by itself.

You can trim your flares front and rear (on the insides) but you need a COMBINATION of Bumstop spacers AND the right offset wheel's or wheel spacers for your stock rims.

Show us those pics already !!
