After taking off last month. We need to get the contest going. I was planning a contest for snow shots, but A) we haven’t seen that much this year anyhow. B) In view of recent events I’m changing plans.

This month the theme is “Best of Paragon". We want to see your favorite shots from the park. Climbing the hills of Turtle. Crawling thru the rocks of 25. Or nose first into Rubicon Lake. Let’s see your best Pictures.

Start thinking of next month. We will do “snow” in March

Best of Luck to all:
Jason

The Deal

What you do is, if you are interested in entering, you post your pic in this ROTM thread. When posting your pic, please provide details of your KJ like vehicle year, modifications, etc. We will give everyone 2 weeks (the first 14 days of the month) to submit your entry. On the 15th, we will end submissions and make a poll in this forum. We then have the last 2 weeks (to the last day of the month) for everyone to vote. On the 1st of each month, the winner will be announced!

For info on how to post your pictures. Click here:
http://www.lostjeeps.com/forum/phpBB3/viewtopic.php?t=2349

The Rules

• Mid Atlantic members only!

• Only JEEPS allowed! - There are so many MA members out there with more one Jeep. Or own vehicles other than Liberty’s. We want to include you all.

• You must be the owner of the Jeep.

• No Links allowed - You must post a pic in the thread (instructions below).

• No computer enhancements - Pic must be unaltered.

• 1 monthly winner per year - You can only win one month per year. No exceptions.

• You can only vote once (even if it is your rig) and no family members are allowed to vote in addition. This is strictly a member rig vote (meaning you can’t get the wife/husband, kids, aunt/uncle, friends, etc. to vote. 1 vote per "rig family" allowed. Remember, honesty is the best policy!).

• If any entrant is found to have cheated in any way, they will be disqualified immediately.

• All "deadlines" are at midnight of that day.

• No more than 2 pics! If you are the winner, your photos will be added to the year in revue post at the end of the contest.

Tiebreaker: I think it fair to let the administration of the board to select the winner. I will get Clint or one of the others to be the deciding vote.

I'll bite for this one. Here are a few shots from 10/9/2005, a Jeep 101 with BMJA as a family outing with the wife and boys. This was my first ever real "wheeling" experience and it was stock. I was bit hard and never looked back.

Getting ready for the water crossing on Outer Loop. I think this has been closed for a while now. I still remember the wife screaming at me not to go in as I waited there.
Image

About half way-I was deaf from her screaming by this point. It only got a little deeper than that but for a noob driving the (then) wife's prized KJ, it was very exciting.
Image

Climbing Turtle. Still one of my favorite trails (going up).

What an awsome park, Paragon is! I really hate to see it go as it was the place where the bug bit me and had my first experiance at.
My pics come from my only 2 trips out there and they were great.

My stock sport on trail 24.....a Blue 1 trail.

Ok here are my two pics. I thought I would use something from the final Paragon run, but I went through my pics and found some from way back with the KJ that I liked better.

This one was from my first ride there in March of 2004. It was the beginning of the Mid-Atlantic group and we went to Paragon for the BMJA Jeep 101 so we could get an idea what we were doing.
Image

And this one was was from the LOST April Fool's run in 2005. Our guide, TJTim, got stuck on a rock doing this crossing on Outer Spare Tire. He had to park his Jeep and tow it home later because he got water in his transmission. Everybody else made it through just fine.
Image

I wish we could enter more than two pics. I've got so many that bring back such great memories of the park. Pics from the play area, Turtle, Turtle rocks, Headless Horseman,Trail 25 etc. The list goes on and on.........
