This should probably go in the electronics but I wanted some visibility. Here's what I have http://www.crutchfield.com/S-E9oKFPU3mHN/cgi-bin/ProdView.asp?search=pioneer+car+remote&i=130CDSR100

It's awesome when it works. The thing is it's tempermental for some reason. Sometimes works while heading north/south and not west/east and viceversa. I've noticed that in sunlight, it doesn't work well. At night, it works. When I tested the setup, I was inside in my garage and it worked fine. Could it be an infared/sunlight thing?

Wow! That thing is $40! That little guy came with my Pioneer HU when I bought it around a year ago.

Mine worked all the time.. I noticed it didnt work if it was very far away.. It must be close to the HU...

It came with mine too. I have mine mounted on the left side. Maybe I'll move it over to the right and see what happens. I just don't understand why it works great sometimes/some direction and others it doesn't :?:

When Best Buy installed mine, they said that they are very hit or miss. I guess sometimes they never get them to work at all when everything says they should. They spent some time with Tech Support on the phone with mine.

Thanks, so far so good. I took it all over SC today and it worked while on the right side. Too bad it won't work from the other side though. Guess I really shouldn't use my cell while driving anyway. That's why it was on the left. adjust volume with left, answer cell with right. Use 3rd hand to drive  Time for Bluetooth, I guess.
