They sent a Factory Rep. to look at my CRD after the letter was sent from my lawyer. He stated that the MAF was clogged up and he cleaned it and drove it with no problems. I told him that the codes were for Low Boost pressure, and EGF flow. He continued to say that it was the MAF. ( Now mind you that this was the final chance for them to fix it under North Carolina Lemon Law.) So less than 500 miles and poof The light comes back on and it is the same codes as before. So now they get a 10 day letter to buy it back. All they had to do was act like they would listen and check the problems I asked them to. But they just make excuses that seem to switch blam to me, instead of owning up to the fact that they have a problem with the CRD.

Can I ask how much it costs for a Lemon Law Lawyer? I may be seeking one shortly. I think I've went past 80 days in the shop with mine. I forgot what it even looks like.

You got me beat, mine has only been in the shop 70 or so days. Haven't seen it since Thanksgiving except for the 15 minutes I got to drive it in Jan before it died again.

Anyway, the lawyer I contacted says on their website that it will cost you nothing. They review the case and if it looks good (for you), all fees have to paid by DC. That is the case in Virginia,I don't know about where you live.

You are probably talking to someone from India, Mexico, Central America, etc. that is just sending canned responses prepared by DCX.

Now that is time to actually retain a lawyer, the one I contacted via the internet says that I will have to pay some administrative costs up front. About $500. They will try to recover this money. Not as easy and cheap as they claim on their website.

I am researching lawyers closer to home. I have a good friend that is a paralegal and knows every lawyer in town. She is going to find the best one in town.

Well.....the SM called the service rep and got permission to put me in a rental for next week while they try to dind the problem and fix it. I told them that this is their last chance!! We will see what happens!! The S.Rep is a woman so hopefully I can pull the "mother of 2 beautiful little girls and can't put their lives in danger". I know she will understand!! :-)r

Instead of everyone sending separate emails why don't we have form emails for each of the major problems we are experiencing. Anyone on the list could cut and paste the text of the message, sign it, and send it to DC. The end goal would be to put forth a unified, professional appearing front to get DC to do more than give us lip service.

I just read Colorado lemon law. Man is it pathetic. Lemon law only is good for the warranty or 1 year, which ever is earlier. I don't have a leg to stand on to get my Jeep lemon lawed.

Parky,
You should at least consult with a lawyer. Most states have automatic "no-contest" triggers to assist your case (ie... 12 mo./mileage limits or 3-strikes rule). This doesn't mean you automatically lost just because the 12 months has passed but it does mean you have a more difficult case to prove.
