My brother has a limted KJ, and he recently purchased a set os renegade side steps. There is not mounting hardware, so I thought I would ask if anyone knew where he would be able to buy them.
thanks,
Roger

The dealership will have the hardware you put in the frame than bolt the side steps to. Your brother does know they won't last wheelin' right?

spoonplugger,
we checked with all the local dealers and they do not/won't sell the hardware seperate from buying a whole new set of steps. yea, he is not using the kj for wheeling..his wife is pregnant and he is going to give her this jeep to use, and wanted to put the steps on for her.

If you have the installation instructions, it will show an inventory of what is needed on the first page. If not, you may be able to find the instructions here:

http://www.jeepkj.com/forums/viewtopic.php?t=4221

I know you can order the nutzerts (I'm assuming theyre needed, havent looked at instuctions for this accessory) from your dealer, but I dont remember the part number. However, the part number is listed in a thread on this site... somewhere. I will look tonight when I get home.

Also, I have some extra nutzerts from my recent rock rails installation if you are interested.

This Ebay seller has nutserts in a variety of sizes HomePro Fasteners. You just need to know the correct size. Installation tool included.
