I hate to say it, but I will anyway! There are a few People whining about not being accepted then turning around and flaming other jeeps because they dont have thick skid plates or they don't have jeep engines. Who give a doo doo! Stop whining and flaming jeeps, other 4x4's & 4x2's! If you want to complain talk to your therapist. No one want's to hear it. If it says jeep it's a jeep! Don't get sucked into these stupid debates! These people are trolling and are going to bring in people from other forums and start more static between the j's

Not a therapist. Go talk to your local caveman. It's so easy, a caveman can do it.

I have had CJ's, YJ's and a KJ. I have had Chevy, Ford and Dodge 4x4's Also drove a Hummer in the Army. Currently have a CJ and a KJ. I ride them both on and off the road. Doesn't matter to me which one I am in when I get a call to go off road. I just pick a line and go.

I've had all kinds of jeeps as well, from willys to present, from cj's to full size cherokee's and j-10's. That doesn't mean you can't like some better than others, thats crazy. All jeeps don't appleal to all people, but that is a looks thing, not the nuts and bolts. I've had the AMC 304, 360, 401, 258, 4.0 and 2.5, also willys F-head, the 4.0 happens to be my favorite all around jeep motor and I will miss it, thats not saying we can't voice our opinions among our selfs. I basically like all jeeps, but there are some that I like bettr than others. It's like the new jk, it will take alittle time for me to get use to it, but I sure wouldn't turn one down, heck, I would even take a compass if the price was right and I needed it. I love all jeeps, just some more than others.

Also this post has nothing to do with the kj getting respect or not, it has to do with the atitudes of differnet jeep owners on different forums. These folks take up whole post complaining about jeeps with ifs, which is all but the wrangler. Some people wheel what jeep makes and other wish thier lives away wanting to wheel what jeep doesn't make. They can get pretty mean and rude and thats what this is about, not who likes kj's are doesn't, but bad atitudes in general

I know what you are saying I have heard it all befor
"if it has IFS it can't be a real jeep" "if it works then why chang it"
"IFS was never ment for the trail" blah blah blah

Look the way that the XJ got excepted as a "real" off roader was the same way that any thing else did
people kept seeing them out on the trails
they kept poping up at events and that is what changed minds and made past jeeps accepted
NO ONE has bothered with the KJ as far as doing that insted we do what they want "go away" and keep to our self
why should we?
Look, how many people realy like the FJ for looks? and how much better is it realy than a KJ?
not many and not much at all
but look at the after market for it already, why? because they get out and get seen they wheel their FJ's proudly
They dont complain about the jeep SFA people dont like them so they will stay away its a toyota jeep people dont realy care what toyota makes they have JEEPS

This is why I keep inviting every one to come to the events we hold and the same 50-75 rig show up every time and every time we get every thing but a KJ
so then pople can say "ha KJ ,or any IFS jeep, they aint real jeeps how many of them are here today?"
and then I have to remind them that I have a KJ and I also wheel my KJ some times but I built a TJ to do 90% of my wheelin

Untill they day comes when seeing a IFS jeep out on the trail is common place people will never change
The same things will keep hapening ,no after market and very little acceptance with the other jeep people this is the way of things

The biggest reason there are so many aftermarket parts for the FJ is that it is built on an existing platform that already had an aftermarket.
I get what you are saying about getting the KJ's out on trails and wheeling and I think in many areas that is changing. Out here in Cali we have many KJ's that have wheeled with many different vehicles and we don't exclude anyone that wants to wheel w/ us. I am wheeling tomorrow and I will most likely be taking my KJ and XJ and we will have XJ's, TJ's, KJ's, etc. out there w/ us and we will have a blast. I am sure in some areas that isn't happening but it is still slowly changing. Come to the Moab event and you will see a large turnout of various kinds of Jeeps show up and possibly a couple Non-Jeeps too. It has been that way for several events now. I saw the same thing at the AZ event recently, several Different types of Jeeps showed up to wheel together and we ran into a group of non-KJ's and some bad mouthed us (mostly because we were blocking the trail taking crazy lines) and some actually enjoyed seeing us there. I think it just depends on the area you live in but like I said, it is changing.

I chose my screen-name on this forum because of this sort of bashing. I'd always get crap from my buddies with Wranglers and trucks, saying that the only thing a Liberty can do is get the groceries with that fancy fung-schwe IFS. Then I got a lift, found a nice place for some rock-crawling, made sure I could do it, then shortly after asked them to do it.
Only one other guy did it  I guess dudes with huge lifts on their trucks don't like tippy situations  "When I had conquered, at least someone, I shouted: "Respect my Libertay!" Anyone know what South Park character I'm somewhat quoting?

My 2``` The group I go with and the club I belong to don't care what you have as long as you can get back. Its a jeep club and they have people in waggies and jeep trucks and even us liberties there is always trails we can do and they divide into groups on trails. The only problem I see is if you break. the tj, cj have a better chance of having someone with a spare with them. So far the Bronco and Blazers have had as much fun as the others so I don't see it as a jeep club as much as a 4x4 club. Best part NO one left on the trail if you do break. Bottom line my friends don't say a word about what I come in. IF they do They weren't my friend anyway and they don't count.
