I'm hoping that someone might on an off-chance have the dimensions for a trailer hitch to fit a Libby. I don't know if anyone has done this before, but I work at a metal fabrication/construction company and I planned to weld up a trailer hitch for my CRD Libby. I can have it certified and all that so that part I'm not worried about and it doesn't need to be rated for much because it's just for towing a snowmobile or seadoo. The reason I want the dimensions is that I'm out of town now and needed to send them ahead to the shop. Any help would be appreciated!!

If I wasnt at school, I would take some pics and measure it all out for ya..

Can you really save that much money by having it made though? They really do not cost that much. You probably wouldnt be out that much money if you bought the mopar hitch from a place like Jparts.com.

I agree with you, but the hitch wouldn't cost me anything (I can grab pretty much whatever I want in smaller materials like that) and I wanted to get it asap (wanted to go somewhere in a couple days). Where I'm going I can get one, cost me over $200 though...which seems like a rip to me! I'm in a smaller town right now and can't find one in stock. Pretty pinched for time!

I paid $100 for mine at Autozone ! WallyWorld also had them . The one I bought was a universale(sp) one and have no probs with it at all .
The hitch only took about 3 hrs total to install on my Sport Libby
