Hi, all! Just got my (well, it's my GF's) KJ Sport! So far, with 44 miles on it, I love it. :D

Has anyone used this kit?: http://jparts.com/product_info.php?cPat ... efcb090564

Looks like it should do the trick, right?

Looks cool. How hard is the install? I've been sort of looking for one for a while now.

Thanks, that's my next question... if it's like older TJs where you have to dig into the ECM plug, forget it... but if it's like new TJs where it just plugs right into the harness then I'll order it now. :D Since it's fairly cheap, I suspect it's an easy install....

I installed one in my 03' Liberty, it is easy jop, took about 15-20 min. only. Need only basic tools.

Um, the 2007s have a new electronic throttle control system. The 2006s do not. I don't think that's going to work.

I wondered about that... since the JKs are electronic throttle I thought the KJs would have been even earlier.

The upside is that this kit should be really easy, since the computer controls the throttle already.

This kit lists as 06-07... did the throttle change in mid 06?

There is/was a kit available, at least for my '05. According to several dealers in Canada, there are discontinued and there was only one left in the country, which I promptly snapped up.

I also called a US dealer advertising them on the web, he told me there was only one in the US, at a dealer in Texas.

The part number for mine was 82207313.

"For 3.7L engines with servo connector. Complete kit. Same as production."

Dave
