We have in cabin air filters?

One trick I have used is to spray some lysol or other antibacterial spray into the fresh air intake while the fan is running....do this in all vent positions. It will kill any funky stuff that might be growing in your ductwork. Dont know anything about a filter, except for the one jeepjeepster added to his.

Nope, no filter. They do make a spray that you can shoot down there that helps.

I put a filter in mine.

Getting dust in the Evap is inevitable without a filter and will cause it to smell over time. I put a filter on mine as soon as I could when it was new to keep dust out of the evap. 8)

I presume you made one to fit in the firewall under the cowling where fresh air enters the cabin?

First you might try checking your drain hole in heater/evap. core case.Make sure all water is draining good.I've taken out many of evap. and heater cores to find a bunch of leaves and debris clogging drain and/or holding excessive moisture. This is the main reason most manufacturers designed the cabin air filter,to keep debris out, thus keeping your drain from clogging. To freshen the air you can cut the foot of off a pair of pantyhose, fill it with Arm and Hammer, and drop it into your fresh air intake.
