I got a 05 Sport had the ball joints replaced at 31,000 miles due to the recall, never had a problem with them.

I had mine replaced per recall at around 29,000 miles. I did a check with the old ones before the replacement and had no issues, but figured I'd get them replaced under the recall since I was due for an oil change also.
