Purple, as far as what an individual vehicle has, just take the VIN # to the dealer and request a build sheet. That will tell you all the details.

I'd like to make a chart, but getting accurate data is going to be difficult :? I'd need all of the brochures for every year or for people to post their build sheets.

Large amount of data, no doubt. Each individual model has a large amount of options for each year, and there are several models: besides Limited, Sport and Renegade, we have Rocky Mountain edition, 65th Anniversary edition, Freedom edition, and maybe others? It's the "packages" that I find a bit confusing. In 2003, for example, the Sport came in an "A" package, which was a very basic model, and the "B" package, which had almost every available option, except, I think, leather seats, heated seats, and maybe a couple of other more or less cosmetic options (sunroof?) I don't think we'd need to break the chart down that far though.

ok.. these pictures are going to be pretty large..... but perhaps it'll be helpful in the chart making process. i have the "Jeep Liberty 2006" brochure that i picked up at the dealer before buying my KJ and took some pictures of the Standards and Options section in the back. here they are! Sorry about the large size.. i figured it had to be that big to read it.. or you could right click and save it then zoom in on it once you open it with your computer.

Sorry about the image quality, my scanner is broken and I had to take pics with my digital camera. Hopefully you can read the info you need!

Edit: Nevermind you can read them fine! (a little TOO big, sorry...)

Came with the skids except the Tranny Skid. Heavier duty Transfer Case. Of course that is from the older model (`04) Reny's.

I'm not sure if you're saying Sports and Limiteds don't have the Trac-Lock LSD option, but my Sport has it.

So does mine.

Thanks for the brochures. :D I've added more options to the page but still need brochures from 2002 and 2003. I've got 2005 in my filing cabinet.

A detail note about 2003 Renegade and the tow package. I bought my 03 as a year end and it had everything on it except the tow package. I wanted to tow and the sales people said they had deal with a trailer place that would install the exact same hitch and wiring as the factory. Having been a mechanic I wasn't concerned about that as I was the cooling items you get with the tow package. What I discovered is that the Renegade came with the extra cooling and only needed to add the hitch and wiring. The unit had the power steering and added transmission coolers. Besides visually verifying those components, looking at the above chart note the off road package is not an option for the Renegade. Renegade came with it. Funny how the detail list of Renedage standard items lists the skid plates and other items from the off road package but never mentions the cooling. Also the tow option for the 03 renegade was cheaper that it was for the Limited. Again because the Renegade already had the extra cooling stuff that the tow package came with. So in the list of what you get for the Renegade option (at least the 03) is heavy duty cooling. Jeep literature does not appear to come out and say that the Renegade got the entire of road package, but it did.
