Look at this picture:

http://www.krovoll.net/KJ/newton.jpg

A terrible modification made by Norw. gov -- the silly high roof -- but that roof makes this car costs USD 60 thousand instead of USD one hundred thousand.
(only two seats is the drawback)

In this process "they" tossed away the high 3d brakelight and glued it on the inside of the window!!
In the last year I have already bumped my head several times in this brakelight and lost it twice :--((

In this european process the plates is attached at the outside of the spareweheel on a hinged plastic "device" -- which is loose, not fixed and is very irritating esp wintertime when snow builds up inside :-((

A) how is this brakelight attached on your US cars - easy to mount on mine ?

B) any tips to get the licence plates down to the bumper where it should be?
(I know, buy a new bumper on eBay, somewhat expensive solution I think)

So what is the purpose of the raised roof? and how can adding something make a vehicle cheaper....Oh and is it true that you have to name your kids certain names or pay a fee for something that isnt "Norweigan"?

The brakelight is normally mounted into the roof, there is a cutout for it. So you would have to be willing to cut into your magical price reducing roof to mount one.

The raised roof must make it some type of "commercial" delivery truck since it has no rear seats...I am sure an aftermarket light could be put into the "raised roof section" fairly easy...LED

Everything is like original US cars inside, but the rear seats are ripped out and instead a wall is mounted.
(The rear seats is delivered with the car, we can mount them free of taxes after 10 - ten years...)

Cough choke spit... wow... did you say $60,000 to $100,000 US dollars? and after 10 years you can use the rear seats-- otherwise you have to pay $40,000?

What?? !#@$! That is like two new Liberties just to use the rear seats.

You are right.

Normal people in Norway don´t buy such cars, our government "wants to" remove them from the market -- its all about pollution and mileage nowadays.

I bought me a cheroke "brand new" -- everyone think I am plain mad :-)
Perhapse they are right, I use twice as much diesel as the normal cars around her and have expensive repairs (normal car: Peugot 207 hdi)

But I love my Jeep !!!
