i just had the f37 recall done and after it, i checked my mileage and it was only 18mpg. has anyone else had expierence that if the computer gets flashed...does it have to "relearn" info and i should expect mileage to improve at all.

she has 51,000 miles so she has to be close to be broken in

thanks

There's something going on with your Libby, like with mine...http://www.lostjeeps.com/forum/phpBB3/viewtopic.php?t=18288&highlight=

I'm going to have the other dealer in town take a look at it and see what they can find. Perhaps I should get the two dealers battling with each other...whoever fixes mine correctly gets my continued servicing of the Libby (because that's wehre they make huge bucks...the 12k/20kKM is $$$) and I come to them to pick up an '08 Challenger...maybe that will motivate them? :?

Mine got worse. As far as the dealers service area, they could care less. I know a couple people in two different DCX dealer service areas who say they HATE working on the CRD's.

From my experience with many different dealers and manufactures, they all have people that just HATE working.

I know you're venting longarm, but really, you should just get rid of it, sell it, burn it, suffer the losses and move on. You will be happier and live longer...and less negativity will help me be happier about making a decision I still feel good about.

Well in general with a torquey diesel, mileage is better with a lower stall speed TC and it seems like the F37 makes the diesel turn a few more RPMs than pre F37. Mileage might be a little less because of this. Just a guess...

Darby, I definitely think thats a big part of the post-F37 decreases that some are seeing. My issues were happening before F37 so something was really up. If dealer #2 can't figure anything out, I'll be heavily considering getting a third dealer to seal the kiss of fate and the go to small claims course to get out of the lease. I hate to consider that as a course of action, but 16-22 mpg is too far from the advertised (and part of my own business case) to put up with. I may consider the VW Toureg V6 TDI if things get that far.

No, John, the 2.5L V6 is coming next year...the V10 is no longer made.

I just bought an '05 CRD sport yesterday, drove it 250+ miles on the highway back home to Wilmington, DE and got 27.2MPG. I was doing about 70mph most of the time on cruise, and there were times I was doing about 75-80. I was pretty happy with that mileage. My CRD has had the F37 recall done as of Feburary.

what is the offroad mod?

i used it today after cleaning my air temp sensor and got 23 mpg on a 80 mile trip doing 70mph. better, but not what i expect yet i guess. it might be beacuse they are still using winter diesel still here in minnesota. i don't know. does anyknow if they are used summer blend or winter blend diesel in central minnesota

You can read all about the Off Road Mod in a thread below. It 's currently
on about page 29, so get some rest, a sandwich, and a coke then sit down for a while
and see if it all makes any sense.
Would someone who really understands all this Please make a condensation and try
for Sticky status?...Pleeese?
