The trailer brake controller I'm installing in our '06 CRD requires a connection to a switched ignition wire. Does any handy wire location come to mind?

Thanks!

I always prefered to use the radio power line. (not the permanent battery one, the accesory one)

If it doesn't require much current I'd tap off the fuse block.

Two good suggestions! I don't have a wiring diagram. Anyone know the color of the switched wire to the radio, or the number of a switched fuse?

Thanks!

The "complementry" wiring harness for the trailer harness I put on my 06 taps into the power (lighter) outlet. But I would not use that one to power the brakes.

Just read the instructions for my controller more carefully. They say to use the lighter circuit also.
