Ive got some scratches on my wheels from off roading and I am wondering if there is anyway I can buff them out to try to remove some of them? The scratches are not on the "lip" of the rim but on the actual center... Has anyone ever attempted to do this or have any thoughts and/or suggestions as how to remove them??? :? :?

I use the Jeep as a daily driver so I just like to keep it looking good without having to fork over the money for new wheels...

Thanks!

on the actual center as the plastic part, or the metal?

then i would try to treat is just as scrathes on the paint. try a profesional buffing compound. If that doesn't work, there's always touch-up paint. Make sure buffing the wheels won't make an additional mess! I've never tried to buff that.

I suggest more off roading...at least that way they will all match and nobody will want to steal them. Works for me anyway. :D

Bottom line, if you're gonna wheel it, you're gonna have scratches, get used to them.

Sounds about right on the wear and tear part...

However, if you want to try and keep the rest of your wheel clean and shiney I recommend using Mothers Mag / Aluminum polish every other time you wash the Liberty.

True very very true
Heck my TJ is so scrached up that when it got keyed by some kids I just said
"How did I do that it makes a perfect X" then realized it was not from a tree when we saw it on the KJ as well
luckily the KJ just got a long line so we can lie an say it was from a tree but the good smuge on the rear fender flair realy is

wow all this and some one asked about removing scraches from rims?
I dont think it can be done they have some kind of coating on them
