Ok, I'm excited as hell. I just got my Moogs, LCA's and a roof rack yesterday. Getting step-sliders from Rock Lizard with my next paycheck and probably a Backbone front winch mount from Detours with the paycheck after that (assuming they have one for me by then  and I don't have any major bills pop up). Just gotta got skids (holding off for something better than Mopar, although, the front skid is looking pretty rare, by anyone) and a rear bumper by TrailReady from http://evolution4x4.net and I think I'll be done, until I can warrant lockers, etc. Anywho, here's my problem: I'm the only one I know who cares about my upgrades

Anyway, thanks for helping me find everything I really want and need, guys and gals. Can't wait for the next upgrade.

Ok, why can't I see my signature? I just put stuff in it now but, never had it not show at all, before. I can see everyone else's; I have them turn to "on" under my profile for the attach to all posts area?

edit: nevermind: It showed up, now.

Do the upgrades for yourself, not for others.

Congrats! You're gonna love the new look and so will others when they see you rolling around your town. They will then be jealous.

Remember, it's a Jeep thing........

Yeah, that's about all I can say about it, right now, too. I'd take some pics but, quite frankly, the tires that she's sitting on right now are just embarrassing. When the UBJ's failed, the alignment was extremely messed up so my front tires have NO tread on them at the moment. Next week, I should have the new Wranglers, Moogs and LCA's (and ANOTHER alignment). Then I won't be quite as ashamed to show her off.

The story of my UBJ's are pretty much in my sig. I bought and installed RRO's OTT lift kit without any of the knowledge that I've gained since finding this place. So, the UBJ's were always contacting the strut springs since RRO doesn't mention that issue or that bumpstops are a necessity with that kit. They actually say that you won't need an alignment in the instructions for it, too! :x So, that and the abuse of driving on Wyo's dirt roads had pretty much destroyed ALL the bushings. Hence, new LCAs. Even got new sway arm links and bushings (the only thing covered under warranty. The mechanic actually said he didn't see anything that wasn't "stock" [RRO OTT kit in at that time]). Pulled the spacer lift and installed Rusty's coils/struts last month w/ new UCAs and Daystar swaybar bushings. So, after the LCAs and Moogs go in, I will have an all new suspension up to the spindles, except the anti-sway bar itself. And I just rolled past 32,000 miles! I could have that TR bumper by now, if I'd just gotten Rusty's kit to start with.

Are you saying that new bushings can't be pressed into the LCA? Is buying new LCAs the only way to get new bushings? If that's the case, I'm seriously going to think about dumping this thing! :?

No, new bushings can be bought separately but, you have to have three specialized tools to take the old ones out and put the new ones in. It was just easier/faster to buy completely new arms, for me. I'm lucky enough to have an oil-related job in an area that's cheap to live so I could afford them, too. They were about $100 more, each, than what the guys on this site said they were though so that kind of hurt a bit

Right on! My normally reliable KJ has decided to make up for lost time this week. When installing my Moogs, I noticed my bushing were getting marginal, but I don't have time to deal with it now. I figured I'd wait until I can install a lift. At last count, my front drive shaft is bad, My T-case is making horrible noises in 4X4, & my front diff is leaking like a Wyoming oil well. Having to buy new LCA would have sent me over the edge!

Um, I dont get it, why exactly should I care about your mods? No offense and here's the  to cover my stupid, but unless I'm constantly strapping you, makes no difference to me what you're running?? Unused mods flashes poser to me.

unused? haha I guess maybe I should take some pics of my crossmember and you can tell me if the lift kit is "unused". FWIW, I haven't had to strap up to any of my vehicles since high school so, I'm actually hoping they are just "unused" mods (except the roof rack. I'll use the hell out of that thing) but, I'd be pretty crazy to go to some of my fishing spots without at least some modifications to this vehicle. Anyway, if you don't care, stop reading.

Ok, it IS my DD. I live in an area where there is rarely any mud, never deep mud so I don't need M/T's. I've heard a lot of good things about these tires for off-roading when mud is not involved. I asked for opinions about this tire a couple weeks ago. If there's a problem with it, what is it? And why didn't you say anything when I asked? http://www.lostjeeps.com/forum/phpBB3/viewtopic.php?t=18678

Well, I don't have them yet and I'm not sure the tire dealer I bought them through has even ordered them yet so if they're not gonna work for rocky trails and the occasional two foot water crossing, I wanna know so I can find something better. I just can't find many options for the 17" rims and with all the other costs on this thing lately, I just can't swing new rims, also. I am a single dad raising two kids without any help from their mom so I don't have an unlimited supply of cash, just lucky with what I do have. I'm not upset, I just want answers.

I care. Yeah I have never really had any issues with ball joint contact with my OTT lift but the CRD is a bit different in the front end. Take some pics and let us know how it goes.
