I just to let everyone know, I painted the letters on mine with some black model car paint. It looked really sweet, but after this past winter, the paint was flaking off. I touched it up today but it still doesnt look all that great.

Im not sure if it was the paint I used or what..

Just wanted to give everyone a heads up.

I had good luck with duplicolor engine enamel. What you do is put some very tack masking tape over the whole badge and then cut the inside of the letters out with a very sharp hobby knife. Then use some adhesion promotor, available near the paint at the auto parts store, let it get tacky, and then spray your paint.

Wow, thats an awsome idea! I wish I would of done that instead of the way I did it to begin with.

The only thing is it already on the jeep. I dont want to risk getting over spray on the Jeep by painting it while it on the Jeep, and its stuck on there good. Thats some crazy good stuff that they are stuck on there with. :lol:

I hear ya, wish we had an idea when the next round goes down so we can order one of these bad boy badges.

Even my wife thought the badge was cool.

If the wife approved, then that shows how popular these badges could become. Just think, DCX might order 15,000 of these badges to put on the new 2008 “trail rated” Liberty’s. Maybe throw them in the Option Package! :shock:
