So I unhooked my swaybar in order to install conduit nuts to raise front end but now I have a "popping" sound from front end. I am afraid I wasnt able to torque the sway bar properly and it is shifting. What I am wondering is where the best disconnect point is. Should I unbolt where the actual sway bar connects to end link? Or should I disconnect the end link from the LCA? What is easiest and the best way to go? Thanks!

when i pull mine for wheelining I undo the 18 mm bolt that connect to the lower control arm and the ones for the bracket. that way i dont have theend link bouncing around. I dont think Ive torqued mine down with a torque wrench, just wrench it down till it's tight. hope that helps.

The bolts that hold the sway bar bracket on to the front crossmember. Two 18mm bolts for two brackets.

is your upper control arm getting hung -up on your spring. Look up boulderbars.com and see how frankenlifted folks have fixed your problem......or you could get Al's Arms.

Thanks for replies guys. I had some time today and so I lifted the Jeep and tightened the sway bar more. I tightened it at full droop, then lifted it a little and tightened more. The popping has stopped completely. WooHoo! Thanks

I had the same problem after I installed my lift. I found that if you loosen the retaining clamps of the sway, then disconnect it, put the full weight on the suspension then rotate the sway to its new postion, and it fit perfectly
