Easy,

Take two large towels with you. When you remove the sides lay one towel out place a side over it then the other towel and last side. Role them up in to a tube so the towels protect the plastic and stick in the back.

BTW when did you get the soft top?

Sharon are you sure you don't want to go topless :?:

Dave as far as the window deal (Like Richard said) Just unzip the sides of the rear and leave the top attached, roll the window up and fold the top down. Or in the spirt of a hardcore Jeeper just take it all off and leave it at home

Richard as far as you getting the most sleep, well you know that is a lie. If you are doing what I did at your age than sleep was the last thing I did so welcome to the up for 48 hrs club.

I may be seeing you guys at 9:00. Jason I will give you a call Sat nite if something comes up.

My brother and I might join you guys this weekend. I'd bring our Wrangler since my Liberty's front diff is still sitting on the bench. Will lack of traction aiding devices be a problem on any of these trails? At GWNF, we've only ever down Peters Mill and the one across from it.

Don't be scared off by all the Rubi's and their lockers and low low range. I'm open front and rear and don't expect any problems with traction. Let us know definite before Sunday so we don't leave the Harrisonburg Sheetz without you.

Lack of traction = Use of strap

One way up the hill is as good as another (And boy do I know of a hill)

Chris - I'm just about 100% certain none of you guys want me to go topless...

I'll meet whoever shows up at the rest area south of 32 on 95 Sunday morning at 6-ish  Seems all the hotels are booked up Saturday night.

Mike I don't know the name of the road. But, its route number 33. Off I-81 take 33 west, you will see it on the right about 1/4 to 1/2 a mile.

Dave, Sharon and I are meeting to caravan down there. We will be coming across 66. We can hook up with you too. I'll Pm you my cell incase you do not still have it. Give me a call about 6:30 / 6:45 and I'll let you know our progress.

Jason

Cool, it's the 798 E Market St Sheetz.

After exiting 66 onto 29 East (Centreville), there's a Mobil station in 1/4 mile on the left. I can meet you guys at that Mobil station or just intercept you on 66. Let me know what you think. I'll give you a call at 6:30 tomorrow.

Just a quick note to say we had a GREAT DAY! Beautiful weather, a fun group of people, three kinds of mud, and no mishaps that couldn't be repaired with a few zip ties, a little on the trailside modification and a stop at Lowes on the way home.

You should have been there!

It was definitely a great ride. Next time I'll try to have the KJ ready :D I'll let everyone know when I get the pictures uploaded.

Dave, you might want to look into replacing those swaybar disconnect nuts and washers with some nylon locking nuts. The stock Rubicon Express design consists of a non-locking nut, non-locking washer, and no protruding thread. Hopefully with the new nuts mine won't fall off again.

I had a great time too. First outing in the new Jeep, First trail side repair, First time in deep goo w/o having to worry about sucking water in. Priceless...

I'm shooting for tomorrow to get my photos up. Two nights back to back with less than four hours sleep are catching up. When did I get this old?

BTW: Just for grins I checked the dealer on a replacement stabilizer. Who wants to guess what they want for it.

I was having some trouble getting the pics off my camera. The ones I took of everybody crossing the stream won't transfer for some reason. But here are a couple of the others.
Finally coming down Dictum the easier way:

The cool poser flex shot:

And a cool CJ we encountered on the trail:
