thanks a lot, i really want to find some people to go with because of days like today. thanks a lot for the info too. i definitely realized the importance of going with a group today. in my defense, that mud seemed hard at first...like i said this is my first time..im freshmud.
My budy walked on top of mud and did not sink did not even stick to his shoes yet when his 4500 toyota truck drove on it he sank up to his bumpers
That is mud for ya
This is why I hate mud
mud=cleaning nothing else
to answer your questions what we found here in the south where mud is plentyful
keep moving forward or back and commit to making it "dont think you can know you can"
I know that sounds cheesy but it works
also what works is tires with a very open and deep tread patern
I run remingtom mud brutes they are very cheep but work very well in the mud better than MOST high end name brand tires do
after those are super swampers best are the good ole TSL Bias they own the mud hole and are also cheep but both suck for a DD wich I m sure your KJ is
as far as lifts go read up and choose wisely
as far as lockers go do the same
With every mod I do I try to avoid going cheep for the sake of "you get what you pay for"
like lockers ARB is hands down the best sure you can "Lincoln lock" it for under $50 bucks if you or some one you know can weld but it will handle like POOO
on the road
Just like with lifts you CAN run spacers and they may work fine but if you look at what they realy do you will see that they are not such a good idea
They ,in the end, preload you springs and cause your struts to wok over time to control the excessive spring rate that is not realy needed
similar to using OME HD springs with no extra weight on the front end just to get an extra 1/2" of lift that you can get by moving your strut up ~1/4-3/8"
out of the clevis
I know that others will dissagree but this is a discussion and I have expressed my oppinion on it
