I'm looking to buying a hitch and came across two that seem nice but I can't tell which is better.
1.Image

or

2.Image

They are both class III, and are $10 apart in price, It says they are both for the Liberty but the way it bolts up looks to be different one has horizontal holes and the other verticle?!? so any help would be great!!

Top one is probably just a representative hitch or "may vary from the pictured hitch". I don't believe the top one would fit up to the unibody and the lower one looks similar to the Draw-Tite I installed.

Or it comes with some sort of mounting brackets, that aren't pictured. As for which is better, I have no idea.

#1 is a generic photo
as far as wich is better they are both the same
all you will see is the lower box part and they are both rated the same

#1 is probably round but that makes no diff.

Find out if one has a longer corrosion guarantee. I got a cheap one that works as well as any out there, but after 3 years of use i seems to have an excessive amount of rust compared to others I see on the road.

This is what I got when I purchased it, I purchased the liberty from a dealership.

And this is part of the rust that it had after 5 years of Minnesota winters.

I took it off and after the cleaned it up, same picture different angle.

not really , its a ham radio antenna and can be extended about a foot
to charge bands. When its down or on the cb frequency it is not noticeable. its easy to take off and I also have a 5' on the back at the spare tire
I think I will check my hitch for rust .Thanks for the idea
