Has anybody got an opinion to share about the seat covers made from wet-suit like material? I'd like to cover or replace the fabric covers on my 06 LTD with something that doesn't get looking dirty so quickly, and could use a recommendation.

Are the neoprene covers hot/sweaty in the summer? Cold in the winter? How bad does DOG HAIR stick to them? Mopar or Wet Okole? Other choices?

Or, perhaps a leather kit would be better. (I know, I shoulda got the leather to start with...).javascript:emoticon('')

Thanks for any advice.

I replaced the cloth covers in my sport with a leather kit from leatherseatcovers.com. Cost about $600. It took about 6-8 hours of work. I'm very pleased with the results. They've been on about a year and still look new. It's not the easiest job in the world but not impossible. You should be at least somewhat handy.

Anyone need some factor cloth covers?

Steve

I have had the Wet Okole in my GMC for 3 years and love them. They can be a bit warm in the summer, but in the winter they are nice and warm. They clear uop real well and dog hair does stick to them but a brush will take it right off.

I put the Wet Okole covers on mine about 6 months ago and they are great. Made the stock seats feel more comfortable and boy, do they fit tight!

I had the Mopar Neoprene seat covers for 4 months and returned them (color Black). They faded to grey from the sun, are uncomfortable as they make you sweat bad and for some reason they make the seats feel harder? The head rest covers for the back seat will not fit so I left them off. I would not recomend them to anyone. I have cheap thin cushions at the moment, maybe sheapskin is the way to go? Good luck.

I have the mopar covers and they seem to be really good. They don't make me sweat any more than the regular seats and are easier to clean the the cloth. Not to mention you don't have to worry about getting them wet.

I ordered some from Cabela's. They are custom made to the liberty. Some kind of cotton canvas. They look and fit great. Not cheap though.

i went the cheep way... got mine from my "mega car part mart" (pep boys) they were about $70 but they have many pockets (back seat pouch, one in the very front of the seat and 3 on each side.) and they can be washed, which is very nice.

I got a pair of neoprene covers at seatcovers.com. They are an exact fit, but normally do not come with a large map pocket in the back. I called them and they put a map pocket on the rear of both seats without charge. I have had them almost two years and they are wearing fine.

Thanks for all the responses - seems that the neoprene should be fine for our use.

I'm thinking that the Mopar covers will be the better deal for fit and price. The black color won't show that Labrador hair so much, too. (He doesn't ride in the seat, but you know how that doghair gets everywhere!).
