Would that look completely ridiculous? Would it be entirely impossible? Been thinking about it....

I don't think its impossible but you would have to disconnect the power to the window regulator and door locks. Along with the black bar that I think restricts the door from opening all the way backward. After all that you would need to either un bolt or figure out how to remove the pin in the door hinge. But if anyone has done it I would like to see how it looked!!! :D

6 nuts and one electrical connector and the doors come right off.

I've seen XJ's do it, so it should be possible on a KJ. But how heavy do you think those doors are to try and take off yourself? They say the Wrangler doors are around 50-60 lbs each and the Liberty doors look twice the weight of a Wrangler door.

I would try to put in some kinda of roll bar style door replacements to keep the uniframe stiff...especially twisting off road.

Sorry for the bad pics(had to use digital camera to take pics of pics,no scanner) but these are from when I painted my KJ.Yes that is my KJ before it was orange, the last pic is right before I tore it apart for fixing/painting.The complete doors are not that heavy, removed and installed them myself(about 50-60 lbs).

Nothing new going to be worked on in the real near future, it's just on the list. Front bumpers are going to get finished first.
