Hope all those fellow LOST members and their families have been spared from these bad storms as of late...pretty wicked stuff happening in the Kansas Oklahoma areas the past few days. Prayers with all those that have been affected...

I'm High and Dry, the Missouri river is less then 1/4 mile from me, but there is a 100' hill between me and it, there are some portions of Leavenworth that could flood, but so far so good, about two years ago (on my wedding night) we got 12" over night, and it flooded the downtown area and they cleaned all the creaks and drainage ditches.

Weather in KC sucks. Not as bad as out west but still crappy. We've taken water in the apt upstairs which is naturally falling into my dining room. I just wonder when we moved the midwest to seattle and didn't tell me. :D

I typed to soon, the City closed our Community center, its just down the hill from me, and we were there most of the day trying to plug the sewer and pulling expensive motors in case their sand bags don't hold. They got everything important up a couple floors and called the power company to shut the building down. Bummer, But my house is still high and dry, It would have to flood worse here then in New Orleans to get my house.

I am in SE new mexico, but only a couple of miles from west texas. The weather has been truly brutal. the hail, rain and lightning last night combined with all of the wind made sleep impossible. things have cleared up a little now, but I am just about an hour from being hit again...so far everyone is safe and secure, and the wheeling in the mud has been fun...

Hey, I'm one state downstream from you. Our county is in the "notch" of the Missouri and Mississippi Rivers confluence (both of which are flooding). Its not too bad right now, but should be covering part of our downtown by Monday. I got the callout this morning that our Community Emergency Response Team will probably be sandbagging this weekend, or earlier. If only I had that new KJ snorkel...
