Hello all, I found a place in Miami FL selling B99, My question, is this too pure to put in my CRD or might it be better to mix lets say 1/2 tank petroleum diesel and 1/2 tank B99? The web sight for this company is www.sol-atlantic-biodiesel.com. Thank you for any advice.

The CRD should be fine on B99. I (and others here) have run B100 with no issues to date that I know of. You may want to start off slow, though. If you have any kind of significant milage on petro-diesel, then going to pure bio will definitely clean some things out of your fuel system which can cause a rather inconvenient sudden stoppage till you get a new fuel filter. Lower concentrations will do the same thing, but probably not as abruptly.

I'd say mix it to perhaps B5 or B20, or something in there. See how you like the changes, heck, take notes if you like. Theres no reason to jump in head first into the pool though unless you really just feel like doing that. The more prudent and gradual approach might yield less of a shock, both to your vehicle and also any minor changes in the way you percieve it.

Dan
