I saw in the photos that some people have done the Cape Cod National Park beaches. I was wondering if there is a day planned to do that as a group this summer?
Thanks,
David

Is there a good link to the Cape Cod area and getting out on the beach? Going over sometime about the 8th/9th of June to move the wife back home after spending the last 9 months in your part of the world  So I was thinking about swinging down that way or someplace we could spend a couple of days "getting to know each other" and looking at the ocean! Of course will be pulling a trailer with all her "stuff' Or is there any place else that you may know of?? You know , resonable, good food etc.

Thanks

Tom

I saw the Cape Cod ORV trail featured on a local TV show ("Chronicle") and it looked fun and relaxing...

There's an article in this month's issue of Four Wheeler about the Cape Cod trail. Looks fun.

So does anyone know if you have to get permits or anything to drive out on the beach? Really wanting to do this but want to make sure I can before I plan it all out. Wife wants to spend a few days on the beach, and I want to play in the sand, = BOTH HAPPY!! I will look up the article in Four Wheeler Jase3gt and also Thanks Metrowest_Kev for the link

There is a charge for the national seashore; the various town beaches also charge most require a season pass and a day charge. Here is the sea shore link http://www.nps.gov/archive/caco/home.html click on activities then the ORV link for info and rates.

Cool Thanks for the extra info. I know I am coming at a bad time, Memorial day weekend but thats when I could get off for a few days, but which is the best place/beach to go out on and drive around for a while and just enjoy the ocean for a while? Coming that way next Friday, pick up the wife in Brookline  and head for Cape Cod!!

Tom, Be sure to book your lodging in advance. Cape Cod is CRAZY on Memorial Day. Traffic is a nightmare too. I wouldn't miss it!

tommudd - I was just curious what exactly is the Kilimanjaro edition? I'm still new to the Liberty scene.

Well I could give you the story that I tell most of the people, it is a special edition model that I brought back from my last Safari in Africa   .....
BUT really I kept seeing Rocky Mountain Editions, Limiteds, Patriots etc etc and I wanted something different, since I had all the badging off I had a clean sheet. My wife is from Tanzania and grew up near the base of Mount Kilimanjaro (could see it from her house) so one weekend before I ran over to Boston to see her (shes been teaching at Harvard) I had lettering made up to go on both sides and the rear gate KILIMANJARO EDITION to make mine different and to honor her home land also. NOW the world knows my secret!  I have always done things like that to my vehicles to make people do a double take, and this really has ! (esp. living in Toledo) One guy who just retired from the Jeep plant said "I never knew we made any of those models!!"

That's cool! A friend of ours is from Tanzania, I think. We met him in Boston, but now he lives in NY.

Tom, You might consider Newport, RI if you don't have any luck finding a place to stay on the Cape. It will probably be easier to get in and out of RI on Memorial Day weekend. I doubt there's wheeling to be done in Newport, but it's a nearby New England beach option. I wish I could offer to put you up, but we're staying with my in-laws for the weekend. I hope the professor enjoyed her stay in Boston!

Always heard those New England folks were rude but...... Staying at the Hanover House I think its called tomorrow night, Dartmouth is picking up the tab so dont really care  Well I am off staying in New York tonight somewhere then the rest of the way!!
