FYI
The Big Bear club is running Heartbreak Ridge on the 2nd. From what I have read, Pontiac Sluice is part of this trail (or at least an offshoot of it). So I guess that means you can run Heartbreak and just not run the sluice portion. (?)

so everyone. I'm out. Wife is taking me to Palm Springs that weekend for my 40th. Going to drink by the pool, and get rubbed by a big Swedish woman.

FWIW, when we did White Mountain on the hangover crawl, it took us some time to get up that really big hill. Lot's of loose rock. And the switch backs were rutted out. Everyone made it up, (even Lisa ) but there was a lot of rock stacking and a couple of people had to get strapped up. It was dark by the time we were rolling down the hill home. But it's still one of my favorite trails.
