Albuquerque, NM after 22" of snow. Also I had already driven that morning and the snow piled up again!

Thanks for the replies, i wish you guys could have seen it. This is the ONLY vehicle that went up and down the mountain for five days straight and we are talking straight up and down 180 degree turns and the whole works (about 4 miles plus), it was truley awesome! Other 4x4's didnt even climb the first hill, let alone all the way up to the top of the mountain to our cabin, and on the first night while on the way up we were passing vehicles stuck on the side of the road or in ditches and i would call out as we passed "JEEP BABY!"( i think a whole lot of people went to there local JEEP dealership after that). After unloading gear i went back down the mountain to help lesser 4x4's and cars, the cars first of course. thanks again

Sounds like it was fun. I was the only one in my family driving during our storm lol. Had to take my brother to work since his Mini was totally snowed in. I actually got stuck once, cause I turned sideways and my skids and rock rails caught too much snow. Just kicked it out and was back on the road again

I really like the picture of all your lights on with the snow covering them.

Well, I thought I would touch base with a few more pictures. The first two are from a two week camping trip on the river above Center Hill lake (Caney Fork river), where we relaxed and took in some peace and quiet. The main reason for sharing these pictures are, I have yet to find any other pics with the JEEP tents, what a way to ruff it, two room tent with storage in back of JEEP. Heat, a/c, dvd, ceiling fan. i knew i would find a use for the 12 volt plug in the back of the jeep! WATCHED HORROR MOVIES most every night on my JEEPs dvd in the middle of nowhere, in the pitch dark. Yeah just a little spooky! Many compliments on tent set up during the day from the few boaters that passed. Get in touch with the Army Corp of Engineers, they own a whole bunch of land here and there and you can get a camping permit for FREE (http://corpslakes.usace.army.mil/visitors/visitors.cfm).........P.S. the fishing was great as well.
The second set of pictures is from the Natchez Trace, it runs from Nashville, TN. through Alabama to Natchez, MS.

hmmmm.... I always wanted to go to one of those. My wife did a naked fun run a few years ago a little bit outside of town at one of those places and said it was a blast. After the fun run they gave out shirts that said "Bare Buns Fun Run" I found it funny that they gave out shirts to people who don't wear them. :roll:

You guys know we cant post those kind of pictures here. LOL, that is my wife in a flesh colored BIKINI. This is the only picture i have of the tent and the BIKINI. No campground, just land owned by Army Corp of Engineers. I know it was hard to read past the flesh colored BIKINI..LOL

nice lookin jeep. is it garaged? ive never seen any silver painted vehicle anywhere older than 5 years old without serious paint problems all over the top of it. ive always wanted a silver 63 split window.

I do keep it under a carport outside of my garage (when not on some adventure somewhere), the paint is flawless. One of my older jeeps, a 1978 jeep cherokee quadra trac was silver and black and never had an issue with the paint either ? I would also say the amount of wax thats used plays a huge role in protecting any painted surfaces (waxed 4-6 times a year by hand and 1-2 times a month through the car wash). The garage is reserved for other toys. Great choice on the 1963 split window, hubba hubba! My other love, other than jeeps..........fast hot rods.........(The reserved spots in the garage).

How's the tent? Can you keep the car running to give it some A/C? Where does the exhaust go?

The exhaust termination is exterior to the tent. Its like a square hallway off the other two rooms, that attaches over top of jeep, down the sides and underneath bumper, while is remains a little close to the tent for my taste, a small piece of 3" flexible metal dryer pipe and a 2" to 3" reducer works well enough. Just attach pipe and pull a 90 degree angle away from tent. I have never been in a situation where i had to run it all night, but in the middle of summer during the day if you want to nap - perfect ..... ALSO I WOULDNT BUY NEW, PICKED UP OFF EBAY, BRAND NEW NEVER USED FOR $110.00 shipped, normal over $300.00, I have been in rain for several days straight and never got wet, really a great tent.
