I installed the EVS-II ITs (Interior Theft Sensor) the other day. Very simple install, only 4 wires needed. I used tap-splices to prevent the need to wave a soldering iron around under my dashboard.
The instructions it came with were for 2002-2004, and thus were incorrect. The correct wire colors are Violet/Orange for the tailgate ajar sensor, and Pink/Yellow for the ignition power. For ground I attached to a bolt under the steering wheel instead of drilling into the metal. The normal power wire is Red.
I used a tie-wrap to attach the sensor under the dash. There is a little red LED that flashes when it is triggered, which doesn't take much more than tapping the device. Giving any window a hard rap with the palm of my hand sets it off (and it is adjustable with a knob). To adjust it, I pulled out my horn fuse to not annoy my neighbors while I continually set the alarm off.
All in all an easy install and a good product. The hardest part was FINDING an IT-s unit. I believe that A unit from any Dodge/Chrysler will work just as well if the Liberty unit is hard to find or more expensive.
