I want to use a Fujimoto Valve on 05 CRD. I would like to determine if I should buy the valve with or without the nipple for the hose to attach. Has anybody had any experience with this? If I purchase without the nipple, will the oil drain thru the factory skid plate hole or will it just spill on to the top of the skid plate? Please let me know your thoughts?

I haven't put mine on yet, but I got the one with the nipple on it so I could attach a hose and drain directly into a jug. Makes it much easier when disposing of the oil at a collection site.

The downside is that the nipple does stick out some, so it might be possible for it to hit things if you do much off road work.

I have the one with the nipple...it comes down flush to my ASFIR Aluminum Skids. Any longer and it would get knocked off when offroad. Sure makes changing the oil easier :!:

When you say it "sticks out some", will it protrude past the factory skid plate?

I believe it does .. I have the nippleless fumoto ( must be the US version of the fujimoto) and I have no problems draining the oil ...

I put the one on with the nipple. It is flush with the factory skid plate on my Libby. Great product! Got one on my semi too!
