Image

(Just kidding, photoshop! But I wanted to see what they look like. I also stole the pic because its the sharpest Moab/freedom pic I could find!)

when we were in moab, did the white rim trail 2 day trip. our group was going down a park road on island in the sky. it was raining / snowing and the red mud was about 3 inches deep. it colored the wheels moad dirt red. eddo and i kept talking about how sweet it looked, and was wondering if eddo from the board would chime in with a pic.

I just painted a set of Moabs a dark grey and sold them back to the guy I bought them from in the first place. Never got to even put them on the Liberty. Now since I am getting wheel spacers think I will just paint the stock wheels and run them! Mine turned out looking pretty good. Main thing was super cleaning the wheels first and light sanding them really well. Gave them like 5 good coats of paint then waited a couple of days light sanded them and sprayed on the clear.

I really want to do this, but I can't afford to have my Liberty out of commission.

A rental Liberty is $235 for the week at Enterprise..... You could have one to drive while your wheels get painted!

Glad I could help! I think it looks shaaaaaarrrrrp. I really do.

Instead of paint, though, I'm thinking graphite powdercoat. Cheaper, muuuuch more durable, and looks better. also, Im debadging as soon as I get home. After looking at that top pic, and then mine, that silly red and blue *not to be unpatriotic, just a design point* is out of place on a black jeep.

That KJ looks great with the graphite colour scheme. Definitely worth doing, IMO. Also, I like KJs debadged too, I peeled all mine off just after I got it. Looks cleaner.

Evantually I am going to paint mine Dark Khaki then set it off with some Cat yellow Champion beadlocks like the Liberator concept had. Now that would be sick. Too bad there isn't a Emoticons that's throwing up or I would have used it.

I can see it now.
