Badlands in June???

I'll be driving 70W starting in Columbus. Even though I'm way north of Attica, taking 70 will still be fastest I think. I'll be driving late Friday night though. I dont get off work until 6.

I'll be headed 90West then 69South. I figure I'll be going that route alone.

Looks like Jeepfrog & i will be hooking up at Hinsdale Oasis around 7:00. i have a friend coming who may trailer a Jeep out there but that shouldn't slow us down. Probably leave there NLT 7:30 and plan to arrive @ Badlands around 9:00-9:30(?).

Couple last minute things:

i usually bring a sub, chips & soda & just do lunch out on the trail so bring food if that's what you prefer. Don't know what's available there at Badlands (anybody?) but there's a McD's 5 minutes away

If you're buying a flag there you'll need to attach tha' thing. i just use zip cuffs/zip ties to strap it to my spare

If you're bringing any friends under 18, as i am, you'll need a release waiver signed by parent/legal guardian and NOTARIZED (no kiddding). Just check their site & you can download forms

Don't forget to bring fresh air and extra blinker fluid :lol:

FYI, i'll be in a khaki green Renegade w/MP plate on front. Name's Ron & i look forward to meeting all of you.

Sorry have to back out of this. The price of gas is way to much these days. I'm looking at spending over $100 in gas just for this one day trip. Need to save some money, cause I'm going on vacation next month.

I also have to back out. Going on vacation last week of June/first week of July and will be taking the Liberty. Can't afford repairs if I manage to brake something =/

I know, I know, now another person is dropping out but the school decided to bump up our final exam schedule unexpectedly. This really sucks because I was looking forward to this run and I now have to cram not only the final exams into this coming weekend but also my final term papers (since I work during the week). Hope you all have fun and I'll try to catch the next run.

well if i dont work i should be there about 830-900 meet in the bottom parking lot. ill be on CB chanel 4 or 14 depending on if one or the other is busy.

I'd love to go, but I have to attend my nephew's birthday party. My wife and I agreed to help set up. Can't back out at the last minute. Looks like a nice size group. You guys will have fun. I'll get back up to Attica later this summer, at least once before August.

If you show up at that camp site after they close up for the night do you just pay the night fee in the morning? Too bad no one will be near me on my drive there, was kinda hoping to chat with you guys on the cb.
