Dumb dumb me. I should have realized that you were saying that $50.00 was for rhe quick oil shop to do the job, not for some machine itself!
Anyways, just doing it the old manual way with a hose will do the job pretty well by itself, no? Does the machine do a better job? I always try to do that basic maintenance by myself...that way I know what is going in...

Any thoughts on "universal" antifreeze? The ones that state that are for all makes and models.

The other thing people think about the orange stuff is that becuse it is enviormentaly friendly that means it is safe to dump some place and is not toxic to pets like the green stuff. WRONG!!!!!!!!!!!!!

That stuff is deadly too. have a quick change place do it then you wont have to pay anybody to take your waste coolant and dump it. Some places are charging you to accept waiste oil and coolants.

They keep taking all the do-it-yourself stuff away from us.

The universal antifreeze can be used but from what I have read it basically takes away the extended service interval of the HOAT coolant and brings you back down closer to the 3/36 interval depending on how much you put in the resivuor

The VIOC by my house still takes oil / coolant and filters for free... I just need to find a place that can recycle my old mustang brass radiator for me.
