Ya, but that would be an easy one to pop out, just take the panel out, and pop it, that side is easy, the other side would be a pain.

Today I used a sink plunger and popped the dent out. Worked great! Almost like it never happened

Here's a link to some alternative dent removable techniques

Haha, that was exactly what I was going to say.. Glad it worked out for ya. :D

Some steel (not diamond plate) quarters were in the works, until we looked at the inside of the drivers side behind the panel. I was slightly ticked when I saw that big sheet of metal instead of a hollow expanse...

Sorry to dig this post uo - I just finally installed the synthetic cable. The Hawse type fairlead takes two inches off the amount it sticks out (over the Roller fairlead)

Here's some pics:

I bet that setup would look awesome on a 2006 Sport........

Suppose I have to wait a little longer to find out.

ratmloud - I like the way your rig looks with the backbone. Looks great on an all white KJ. I think since Detour is backed up on production for a few weeks - we may have the only two prototypes
Which winchline did you go with?

That fairlead sure is an improvement.....does it wear your line faster though?

Yes we are the Only 2 guys with them , but Mark from detours said they will be ready at the end of the month...

also I have 5/16 amsteel blue rope on my winch , as far as the fairlead goes...mine is made from UMHW. same stuff as the rope, so it should never wear. but we'll see.

looks like you have an alum. farilead and a different eye loop on the line, is that viking winch line?

I have the Master-Pull winch line. It comes with a crush-proof thimble, a 10 foot heat proof sleeve on the drum end and a removable wear guard (that's the grey sleeve you see in the photo)

I switched to synthetic for safety reasons (the MasterPull 5/16" made from Dynex is rated for 21000 lbs)
but the other good thing is weight savings. Only 3.5lbs (with hook) for 100ft of 5/16" of line compared to 40-45lbs for steel cable.
