Front coils on my '02 Sport seem to be sagging and tires are rubbing on full input left or right turns. I went one tire size over stock 3 years ago; however, the rubbing only started within past three months. Anyone else experience suspension sag on KJ? I had ball joints replaced under both recall campaigns. Can anyone suggest a lift that will give some lift without looking ridiculous on nearly stock tires? Advanced thanks for ideas.

best easiest and cheepest thing would be to do a clevis lift
if ,how ever, you have >50K on the jeep and need new struts and shocks I would go OME
better than stock ride and looks fine on stock tires

I forgot to mention the mileage is 75k. How do you feel about the Rusty or Skyjacker coil lifts? Their price is more in line with what I'd like to spend. My KJ is lowered so I'm thinking a 2.5" lift will not translate into an goofy looking stance over stock tires.

The fact that your KJ is lowered doesn't really matter when you lift your KJ. You should be at the same height with the lift as a non-lowered KJ. It will just look like you are getting more lift (especially with the sagging springs). I'm not sure what KJs they used to measure 2.5" from, but they should be all about the same after the lift. By the way, I've seen KJs with lift and stock tires, and they don't look all that bad anyway.

If the lifts you mention are in your price range, then Rusty's. No other lift has the miles from so many and is as good at that price range.

Why Rustys????? I know that they are like belly buttons, everyone has them, but OMEs can be bought and installed for about the same price and are better, better product, better company etc. Plus they are a world wide product. Just my 2 cents, man I am getting to be like JJsKJ and his OIL!!! LOL

Just another option esp if you do not want to go up a lot and run more closer to original size tires

X2,if your just looking for about stock hieght the OME springs are much better if you don't want a really big lift,about 1 1/2" is what the OME springs will give you and are much better then the stock springs.

Dont waste your money with rustys
poor customer service and you will need to spend more for the rear shocks

IMO the OME springs are hands down the best for a DD now for a 90% trail rige you need to think different but i have yet to find a KJ that is 90% trail
in other words go for quality not quantity you will be happier in the end
and you can run the same size tires with the same resaults with the OME or rustys lift
I can prove it
our KJ = OME med springs and 245/75 MTR on stock rim (30.7 X ???) melt the fog light door and pound the pinch with minor rub at full stuff in rear
nolakj = rustys lift 30 X 9.5 BFG MT on black steelies (29.5 X ???) melt fog pound pinch mega ,tire cutting, rub at full stuff in rear
go figure
Rustys lift should be 1" taller than OME and BFG tires should be 1" smaller than MTR's

I had OME front springs and only received 1.5in of lift. I wanted more lift and the rustys lift fit that criteria.

If you do not want much lift and have the money, then yea, the OME lift is the way to go.

That's because the OME springs are only ment to give 1.5" lift,that's why the Frankinlift uses a spacer to get above 2.5" lift.

I have the rusty's and the front seems to be sagging like a sob. I haven't taken any recent measurements but i can see the front is alot lower than the rear. It rides very nice just wish i got the franken lift due to the extra height.

Try the OME lift,and if your are not pleased with the height then do a clevis/isolator lift and or rusty's stut plate. Iam 100% sold on this lift due to its great on road and offroad performance as well as knowing that the coils,struts and shocks have been engineered to meet the needs of each specific KJ setup!
