The rear end ratio is 3.73 for auto trannies(V-6).The t-case adds another 2.72:1 reduction in 4lo.

With the '02, 3.7 automatic, with the 45RFE transmission, NV242 or NV231 transfer case, and 3.73 gears, the final drive ratio is 11.19:1 in high range, and 30.32 in low range. Mine, with 4.10's is at 12.30:1 in high range, and 33.33:1 in low range. With the 42RLE transmission and 3.73's it 10.59:1 high range, and 28.71:1 low range. With 4.10's, 11.64:1 high, and 31.56 low.

Is that for the 02? I have an 05 now but I used to have the 02. It seems that the 02 was a lot lower than my 05.

That's because the '02 KJ's have the 45RFE which has a 3:1 1st gear ratio,the '03+ KJ's with the 42RLE tranny has a 2.84:1 1st gear ratio.Also the 45RFE has a 3:1 reverse,42RLE has a 2.21:1 reverse,45RFE has a 0.75:1 O/D,and the 42RLE has a 0.69:1 O/D ratio.

I like the '02 setup better too. Just wish it had the 2nd overdrive ratio of .67 like the 545RFE for the interstate.

Well the 45RFE has a seperate TCM unlike the 42RLE has the TCM intergrated into the PCM,so yes the PCM would have a fit.
