Are you talking about the pads or the brake assy ?

Just pull the wheel off, then pull off the outer drum, look at the pads and stick it back on. AT NO TIME USE THE EBRAKE OR BRAKES!, put wheel back on.

If you need pads, do em and have the drum turned.

My disc and drum pads on all my vehicles usually take me well over 70K before first change. It depends on how you drive. I've seen some needing change at 25K.

I believe he wants a write-up on how to change out the pads. Drums are typically alittle harder to change than disc's are.

Also, the drums usually do not just fall off. A good Penetrating oil is good to have on hand.. Along with a BFH.. :)

Pads are for disc brakes and shoes are for drum brakes,At least that's what we called them years ago..

Hey, If you ain't never changed them, don't go wild with the Penetrating oil, better to hit the drum with a fire log or rubber mallet.

A pad is a pad fella, shoe or flip-flop...They still call them shoes
