05 renegade fog lights

Anybody swapped out the globes for a higher output? can the lenses be changed easily say for a pinpoint or a spread pattern?

Does the Renny light bar use the same bulb also?

The one big dang problem with Jeep projects...Is you have to register to see any pictures. Just does not seem right. I would like to at least review the site before I have to register...

Well put. I went ahead and registered to see the pictures. I'm really not a fan of site that require you to register.

Also, at first I though something was wrong with the site and the pictures would not load.

Just to let you know

you can pull the HELLA Fog Light Insert from your 05 Renegade and put in the Driving Lamp part number 9.1308.01 Driving lamp insert from a Comet 500

works well looks factory but you get more light

I did the 9145 to 9005, change over, world of difference and a cost savings in the long run. Using white bulbs over the fogs, it covers the gap from the front of the liberty out to where the headlights start, a solid field of light.

How does this compare to the other replacement bulb process in terms of modification required. How does the light level compare? (Has anybody done that one and have photos?)

I'd like to beef up the fogs as much as possible (ideally brighter than the headlights). They are so high up on the bumper, they are pretty useless as fog lights, so I may as well have a nice pair of driving lights to make up for how weak the stock headlights are.

Looks good - but those are the Limited fog lights, though - I'm pretty sure the renegade fogs are a different size (least, the globe is a different size, I suppose it could be the same bulb?)

Thanks for the tip about the 9005s. I went ahead and put them into my lower fog lights. I have had them in the headlights for about a year and the difference was really noticeable. Now both sets of lights are much whiter and brighter. 8) James.

OK, hold the phone. Can someone back this up for me. We're doing what?

I have a 2003 Renegade and I've always felt the fog lights (lower bumper) are wimpy. So what am I doing? Are these bulbs for the 2003 or 2005 as originally asked? (that the same)? Please elaborate. tnx
