What are the thoughts on the Scangauge 2? I have a co-worker who raves about it, so I wanted to see what people thought of it in use on the KJ.

For pulling codes it's probably OK,but keep in mind that you can do that by cycling the key. When it comes to actually running flow charts to determine whats causing a certain sensor,or circut, malfuction,DC's system usually requires the use of the DRB scanner, wich most can't gain access to.Maybe someone else will chime in with better news and ideas for ya. :)

I've used the scangauge 1 for a few years now. I have used it to see what mileage changes occur when I change my habits. It also indicated vital engine information to me on a long trip with the KJ pulling a trailer. The only thing I wish it had was larger characters. Its not a NEED but fun to have if you like detailed information.

There are a couple of good topics on the CRD forum and our situation may be a little different from gassers, but some of the functions go to sleep on the unit after about 15 minutes of driving. Most love it though. One thing just brought up there yesterday is that in a couple of weeks they will release a Scan Guage III with a few new capabilities. Scan Gauge II should be able to be updated for $25 by the manufacture.
