Whatever brand of fluid you use, make SURE its ATF+4!

The mopar filter should be good to use.. Ive read some people have troubles with them not fitting when they get them from auto parts stores and such..

How are you intending to actually flush your transmission? two buckets and take out the lines, or do you have an actual fluid exchange machine?

Speaking of transmission flushing, how does it work anyways? I know if you drop your pan and change the fluid you will only get like 5qt or so and there is a lot more inside the transmission and torque converter. How does the flush work, and why when they flush the transmisison they don't drop the pan?

A tranny flush uses a machine to swap the fluid,it ties into one of the cooler lines and replaces all the fluid and no they don't drop the pan unless you pay extra to have the filters replaced. The machine costs about $2500+ and most places charge about $100-$250 for a flush.

If you just drop the pan and change the filter you only get about 4-6qts replaced out of the 12-14qts of fluid(depends on the type of tranny you have).

I leave a couple quarts of the Mopar ATF+4 in my garage for emergancies but when I have the fluid flush done at the quick lube shop they have always (both times) put in Valvoline brand fluid. So far I haven't noticed any problems with this
