Jeepskate, can you post a pic of your Silver Libby with the front ventvisors??

Also, what is the difference between the "in channel" and the regular ventvisors? I guess the Ventshade brand ones I had on my previous rigs were considered "regular". What do the in channel ones do?

Thanks for all your help fellas.

Here are some pics of my 2002 with the front-only in-channel visors. I don't notice any additional wind noise with them in. And like someone else mentioned, it's nice being able to leave the windows cracked without anyone noticing. After seeing the way the in-channel visors fit on the rear windows, I'm kinda glad I just did the front. To me it looks odd having them come only part way across the top. Just my 2 cents.

Thanks, I had been wondering what mine would look like. I'm gonna go rip the back ones off right now. :D

It looks like it boils down to personal preferance. I think I'll eventually go with the in channel. Those just seem to be more secure.

Yup, I have the inchannel draw-tites and would never go back to the ones that stick on. Ive had them for around 1.5yrs and Ive never had any problems out of them. 8)

I got them from etrailer and Im not sure if drawtite still makes them.

You don't have to worry about the stick on's coming off. Mine have been on for 6 years. I'm trying to figure out what to do about the hail damage to the rears. I'm afraid it will damage the paint to take them off after that long. I'm not quite ready to repaint it. Don't want to do that till next summer. Of course, I don't like having a hole through each off them either.

MAke the hole nice and round then get one of those "pop in" vents the proper size and pop it into the hole. Now your Vents can have vents!

Jeepskate, I do like the pic with just in-channels on the front. I guess, in my case, the fronts would be the ones used most frequently in rain, snow, and when left in the work parking lot for the day. Maybe it's just as wise to just put on a pair of visors on the fronts? I do see the difference between the old style and in-channel. The latter looks much sleeker and low profile. So, the In-channels don't use 3M tape to the extent that the old ones do? Do they just snap into the channel?

As far as the old style coming off they last a long time, ones on my 95 Cherokee have been on there for about 7/8 years and only recently did one come off of course it was sliding past a tree and well.....tree ...one ...window visor....zero! Ones on my step Dads Blazer, I put on in 95 and they are still looking good. Yes we tend to keep vehicles a long time

My in-channel visors (made by Wade) do use tape. It sticks to the weatherstripping or whatever you want to call it inside the window channel.

Yup, the In Channel ones do have a strip of tape along the top edge. Peel the backing, shove em into the channel and roll up the window. In about 24 hrs the tape is "set". I don't even think I could pull mine out of the channel without some real force.

My "in-channel" ven visors by Weathertech don't have the tape strip for inside the window. Also, the tab at the back of the back windows (for mine at least) are meant to go in the channel not outside. I had to call weathertech about this because I couldn't seem to get mine to fit the way Cacher123 has his. Also, Weathertech has two different levels of tint for their vent visors. I went with the lighter tint against my Timberland Green KJ and it seems to blend in to the point that they are hardly even noticeable. The nice thing I found was that if I only open the back windows a little (for the dogs), I no longer get the "huffing" type noise. Just my $.02

I just put on a set of the regular vent visors on my light green 2003 Liberty, and I am satisified with them so far.

Evidently there is a difference. I'm not sure if mine is older and discontinued or just a different part number/model. Mine did come with the tape strip and has the outside mounting tab. Just be sure to read the instructions when mounting.

That was when it happened. The only damage I have is a single hole through each of the rear vent visors. It completely covered the ground in about a minute with around an inch deep layer of marble sized hail. Looked like winter for about 5 minutes.
