I've read (all  ) the posts on width and BS of 8" rims, but I still have a question.

Here in Denmark we have a LOT of rules about what you can/can't do with your car.

One rules says that your wheel can't be wider than/outside the flare.

If I were to mount a 8x16" rim with offset of 0 and BS 4,5" would that stay inside the flare/aligned with the flare or will they go outside the flare (how much)?

What about a 7x16" with offset 0 and BS 4"?

My (wife's) car is a 2003 CRD if that makes a difference.

We're getting a 1,5" EMU lift in a couple of weeks and we wan't som big tires, but we don't want the stock wheels.

Have you checked into after market fender flairs??? I don't know how your laws are writen, but maybe exteneded fender flair could be you solution to squeek past the law. They may have thought of that already but many here in the states have faced the same problem and the flairs have gotten us out of trouble with the law.

Yes, I've often thought "can you get flairs for the KJ?" So can you?, I've never seen any but have a good idea on how to do it.

Remove the flare, add 1" thick rubber bolt it to the KJ then bolt the plastic stock flare back onto the rubber spacer. I've not done it yet but may have to in order to get my combo OK with local regulations.
