I have replaced my gas cap, and all of the lines running too and from the char-coal canister are in good shape and not cracked. Has anyone else thrown this code? How did you fix it? I have ordered a new Purge Solenoid...Hopefully this will solve my problem.

Thanks in advance for the Help

I think that code is for a loose gas cap. Did you disconnect the battery to try to eliminate the code after replacing the cap?

I have an OBD reader to cancel the codes

I am having the same problem, i have replaced both hoses running between the gas tank and canister, and the gas cap. The mechanic I took it too is stumped, he suggested I take it to the stealer and have a smoke test done on it.

I had a similar problem and I tracked it down to the solenoid. If you search my posts I described how you can test the solenoid.

Also if anyone has worked on your truck make sure you verify all the lines are hooked up right. I had a collision shop that had everything messed up including having installed my solenoid upside down (which is what I think might have killed it).

I'm going to replace my purge solenoid this week, $75 at the stealer's, $32 at autozone. I talked to a mechanic friend of mine he said that if the evap hose was cracked the charcoal canister could have been clogged by crap being sucked into the system, he suggested if all else fails replace the canister.
