So what about comments on the lift itself?

You could run 35's with the CRD and be just fine with the stock gears. It's a diesel thing. Diesel's don't suffer like the gassers when you up the tire size because all of the low torque. I run 31's and lots of offroad armor and I still get 23-31mpg. The gassers with the same mods get around 14mpg. Like I said "It's a diesel thing". The other thing I should mention is the CRD rated for 295ft bls. torque but recent dyno's report nearly 340ft lbs. of torque.

I would prefer a well put together 4 to 6" lift over SFA and I would keep the front diff if somebody made 4:56 gears for it. I think the setup would be pretty sweet.

Al's lift would appeal to me if I saw it run Calico and Big Bear's John Bull trails first. Otherwise I'd not want to put out the money.

A solid 4" lift with 31's would do me just fine & keep the gears as is.

I think this is going to be the solid option for a bolt on kit higher than 2.5" . I saw a 7" rock Krawler kit around the internet but not on their site, hopefully, this kit will be in continued manufactering, and improvements. Al's already has a good rep for handling the geometry probelms witht he a-arms. Some of that description however isn't set in stone until a customer review, I have a 2.5" lift with 245/70/16 and I can feel body roll so saying "no body roll" with 6" is a strong statement. Waht about when you areon steep/akward trail hill climb/descent? I hope this kit will entice Skyjacker and Rusty's to create 4"-6" kits for IFS but then it all comes back to how they handle the cv joints, and cost of the kit, Jeepin by Al's costs are avbout average but for a few parts alittle more pricey than competitors.

We'll see how this kit does, I'm sure it'll be the best option to get a nice lift besides a full on Solid axle conversion.
