FrankenLift Group Buy
OK, here is the deal. Based on the numbers that reported back as interested Heather is willing to give is a group buy on the FrankenLift(s). There is not much she can do with the AL's Uppers and she explains that in her response.

******

Heather's Response

Just so you know, this group buy will be the ONLY group buy for the Frankenlifts -- so if someone wants to get in on it, this is the ONLY chance they will have for group buy pricing...ever. We never discount the Frankenlift and we have never done a group buy on this kit, so this is a great opportunity for anyone who wants the kit and would like to get a discount on it too.

The status of the Premium II kits is that we are waiting to get the OME132L shocks - we should get them around September 21st or the week after.

All 06 KJ models (GAS and CRD) need the brakeline relocation brackets. Sorry, there is no discount for this part -- it is $30.

Since Jeep'in by Al has been taken over by another person, the pricing for dealers has changed - the entire structure of how I order as a dealer has actually changed too. So, unfortunately I can't give a discount on the A-arms anymore nor do I sell them directly. The new ower has set up an "Affiliate" program instead of a dealer program. However, if anyone wants to buy a set of A-arms, please have them go to the following link and order, I can give an additional $10 discount on the Frankenlift they order from me when they use this link for buying an a-arm setup from him. Here's the link to use when ordering the a-arms:

http://jeepinbyal.com/default.aspx?Affiliate=6

-- Please have them send me a screen print of their completed order for the additional discount.

Prices for the Frankenlifts in the group buy when they also purchase an A-Arm using the link above -- for those not purchasing a-arms using the link above, add $10 to the prices below:

ONE-TIME GROUP BUY for GAS MODELS:
Frankenlift II Premium: $899.99
Frankenlift I: $750.99

ONE-TIME GROUP BUY for CRD MODELS:
Frankenlift II: $1059.99 (includes the core charge)
Frankenlift I: $941.48 (includes the core charge)
For people in the group buy who have CRDs....the core charge will be refunded upon our receipt of the core parts -- directions for returning the cores will be on the invoices.

Anyone in the group buy will be required to place a deposit of 50% upon ordering. The remaining amount due (including shipping), will be debited the day the kit ships. Everyone in the group buy must called in his/her order no later than September 12th. They must also give the following discount code to be in the group buy: FL912GB. This offer is good for NEW ORDERS ONLY.

If you have any questions, please feel free to let me know.

$67 is still $67 cheaper than it would have been, they have to buy the parts just like everyone else, assemble the struts and you get $10 more if you buy the arms..........not too bad if you ask me.

It is better than nothing. But not what I would call a fantastic deal. That isn't even 10% off.

You should look at it from this point:

You want to attract a buyer who was going to buy another lift kit. The person who was gonna buy Rusty's Coil lift for example. Does that price point make that potential customer want to buy a Frankenlift? Is this attracting a potential customer who end up buying more from you in the future? I am not saying lowering the price to Rusty's.

I will be getting the premium lift in the spring. The group price is not enough to entice me to get it early. They should never try to match Rusty's because they are a higher quality lift. I hope no one thinks I am putting down Frankenlift because no way would I do that.

I am not either. But let's say I am just like you...waiting for 6 months or so before I buy one. Does $69.00 off make me buy it now? No. I appreciate the time and effort in them doing this but does offering it at say $150.00 off make me think? yeah, it does. In fact, I go out of my way to support business' that have done this very thing. I make sure they're the first place I look when deciding on any purchase. I am a very loyal customer. You just have to get me in the door first.

Nope - it is what it is....not sure what to say - we asked for a discount - they offered $67.00 - what, you think we should make them think again and come up with a new number :?

From my point of view the folks that said that they were interested or want to take advantage of the offer will will get a quality kit and save some money - those that are not interested welllll - will not...

Isn't RockLizard an authorized All J reseller? I remember calling him in the past and he was selling the FLII for less than All-J... come to think of it.. i bet it was darn near the same price as this "group buy".

Then I guess you will not be taking advantage of this offer :o.

As I have said - it is what it is, the question was asked if they would give us a group buy, they were kind enough to respond with the offer they did - they could have said no. Anyone can can choose to take advantage of it or not - personally does not matter to me one way or another.

I tried to gauge the interest and arrange the buy, sounds like I may have made a mistake... :?

Thought I was trying to do something for not only myself but for this group and any other KJ owners out there interested in trying to acquire a quality product. Well - I won't make that mistake again any time soon...

Have a nice day.

As others have said you did a great job, you went above and beyond the call of duty to organize this. It is commendable that you went out of your way to help you L.O.S.T. bretheren. I'm unfortunatly have become finnaiclly emberassed,
IE: Fired
So despite the fact I can't commit at this time KUDOS to you for doing something for the good of all of us.
Since All I can do right now is offer my thanks, when I can I will contact you.
Despite any dispargement from others you effort is appreciated.
Thanks

Don't let it bother you. Griping is always louder than the thank you. Nothing like having people spit in your eye for trying to help. I say just buy it and let those who complain pay full price later. This is why there are few out there who cater to the KJ. Notice All-J is dropping their skids, its just not worth having them sit around while people complain about how much it costs. People just don't realize how much it costs to fabricate specialty gear for a handful of customers. As for the lift, it has to be shipped around the world, stored until someone buys it, packaged and shipped. If they just sold it at cost they wouldn't be in business long, and a few people on this board would still witch that it was over priced. So be it.

Just remember, most on this board are here for help or to help. Don't be discouraged, LOST members like you are what keeps the rest coming to the board for help.

Griping....spitting in eyes....? All I did was say that the amount of discount wasn't that great. That is a fact. There was no personal slam toward the gentleman that went to the trouble to set this all up. I did not slam Frankenlift either. If you want to twist something around that I say you can print this post out....twist it up and shove it up where the sun doesn't shine! End of comments by me on this thread.
