My 6 CD changer bit the dust in my '03 renegade. I'm thinking about doing an aftermarket stereo. Anyone know if any of the aftermarket stereos will work with the steeringwheel audio controls?

Yes.
Two ways,
1- aftermarket Radio with Wired Remote Control input, so you can get PAC Steering Wheel Remote interface and wire it up
2- aftermarket Radio without Wired Remote control input (only infrared remote), so you can get the other PAC steering wheel remote interface, find a place to mount your "tranmistting eye" so it can see the radio, and wire it up.

in addition, you will need to buy additional interface, either aftermarket or Alpine.

There is also another choice, which is what I got for $200.

It also has wired remote input, where you would have to buy $60 PAC unit, you are set. Great sound from Kenwood, pls you keep the steering mounted controls.. this also has USB input, so like me you can buy 30GB External Passport drive, and carry your library with you, and control/view on screen.

I have the PAC adapter and it was heck to wire up. The directions had all the wire colors wrong so I had to figure out which wire was what. The FSM was also wrong on the wire color..
