See the Vendors section for more info:

Here's a Warn M8000 mounted and operational on the Detours KJ Backbone. Next up is to dream up some sort of doohicky bracket to remount my Hellas on.

Now I must fight the urge to drag random objects around for no apparent logical reason... :D

That looks sweet! I have been looking at the backbone for a while and I still like the way it looks.

8) Best dang product to come out for the KJ since Boulderbars. Looks great!

Now just lose the cable, get some synth rope and save yourself some weight off the front.

In addition the weight savings - it sticks out much less than the roller fairlead...

The whole set up looks great and a real clean look. If you don't mind my asking how much did it cost and how hard or easy was it to install??? It has a great clean and finished look :D

there's a link to the install I did .. not too difficult ... no special tools or procedures needed.

Hey Ratmloud,

I remounted my Hellas similar to yours - pics to follow tonight.

However, I'm keeping the roller fairlead since it made a perfect place to mount a 'light bar'. I used an 18" piece of flat steel bar stock: 1" x 1/4" thick and bolted it to the fairlead on the top. Maybe some day for the synthetic line, but I hear they can be finnicky.

Also - ratmloud - you can flip the Warn solenoid bracket around and mount the box directly over the motor - thereby letting more air get straight to your radiator...

Todd

And here's the lights remounted... Still need to re-wire them. The nice thing is that I can just see their tops over the hood from inside. Hopefully I will avoid smacking into stuff now.

Do you guys like them/prefer them at the hieght thats been pictured?

Looking at different 'bolt-on' options.......

My lights will be bolted to the roof rack so I don't really care for any extra brackets. Thanks for thinking of the KJ crowd, though. I would like to see pics of an '05+ with a Backbone, though. with or without winch, please?

It seems like the ones we see here are the most logical place to mount big round lights...they look great

I'll try and get some pics of the backbone again in the next few weeks ( been off the comp past few days working on meeting my new daughter !!! )

I got some por-15 mix pack, so I am gonna rust proof the whole thing ( will be taking the bumper off so if anyone has any specific pic requests, please PM me)
